Force Design and Experimentation Analyst

Key Role:

Advise and assist the client staff on Force Design issues and developments, Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms) for development of Force Design elements, and Master Scenario Events Lists (MSELs) for Command Post Exercises (CPXs) associated with major exercises within task portfolio. Facilitate the synthesis of information for Force Design, perform operational analysis to enable the alignment of resources to mission priorities, tasks, and requirements for applicable units. Participate in Force Design Working Groups at multiple echelons of command and assist as needed. Manage Force Design information and provide recommendations on product development and updates to the client as required. Conduct a diverse set of analytical studies and initiatives that support capability development, capability integration, lessons learned, and readiness production processes. Draft and deliver baseline assessment reports, including preliminary research and analytical tools to address the military challenge, provide background research, and propose the research approach for the project. Prepare executive level analysis reports and briefs, including baseline assessment reports, interim and final project reports, and other reports necessary to complete tasks and projects that support capability development and readiness maintenance and improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in operational planning in the INDOPACOM Area of Operations

  • Experience in exercise planning, preparation, and coordination with adjacent components and commands

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

  • Knowledge of Marine Corps emerging operating concepts and experimentation with new and emergent capabilities

  • Knowledge of the initiatives and direction of Force Design 2030 and the offices and stakeholders involved

  • Knowledge of available resources, including units, equipment, and funding and training venues to be leveraged for specific projects

  • Secret clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Graduate of Marine Corps Expeditionary Warfare School or Command and Staff College

Clearance:
