Future Plans Assessment Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Plan, develop, and assist with the implementation of a Marine Corps assessment framework, taking inputs from red teaming, experimentation, military strategy, plans and orders, and wargaming and training events and conduct analysis to determine gaps and opportunities in capabilities, training, and processes as feedback for future decision making. Assist with developing analysis for input to a Combatant Command's Joint Exercise Program (JEP) and Service Exercise Program (SEP) exercise design for effective resource allocation in participation and return on investment and define and influence the analysis for future data collection management plans based on the Commanding General’s assessment and priorities. Organize and support Marine Corps Staff Sections in designing Performance Evaluation Checklists (PECL) that support the data collection management plan, evaluation criteria for operations, activities, and investments and ensure analysis is reflected in required systems, including Marine Corps Training Information Management System (MCTIMS) and Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS). Coordinate with Staff Sections to collect assessment data, develop task performance observations, training proficiency evaluations, and after-action reports and feedback. Identify qualitative and quantitative indicators that would enhance the Marine Corps operational readiness and warfighting capability across all warfighting functions and apply value-added assessment practices to provide baseline and future analysis of capabilities. Develop Operational Assessments that enable the measurement of progress of the Marine Corps capability development and support the development of conclusions and recommendation support to the decision-making process.

Basic Qualifications:

-5 years of experience supporting operations and planning in the INDOPACOM Area of Operations (AOR)

-2 years of experience in planning, preparation, and coordination with adjacent Commands

-Experience with strategic planning and coordinating in the INDOPACOM AOR

-Knowledge of the Marine Corps and Joint Planning Process, policy development, and exercise development

-Knowledge of National Security Strategy, National Defense Strategy, Unit Training Management, and Systems Approach to Training

-Knowledge of a variety of DoD networks for information gathering, including NIPR and SIPR

-Ability to advise leadership on the means to achieve objectives within Commanding General guidance and priorities as they relate to operational tempo and fiscal constraints

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-TS/SCI clearance

-Graduate of School of Advanced Warfighting
