Operational Information/Knowledge Management Analyst

Key Role:

Advise and assist on the Commander’s Critical Information Requirements (CCIR) processes and procedures, including the collection and reporting of the CCIR by the staff, dissemination of the CCIR to higher, adjacent, and subordinate commands, and maintenance of the CCIR. Coordinate with the operations center and develop processes and procedures to enhance situational awareness of current operations and dissemination of information. Work in coordination with the operations center and develop the Common Tactical Picture (CTP). Develop and maintain NIPR and SIPR SharePoint and other IT knowledge management systems to provide an up-to-date client current operational picture. Develop and implement effective information dissemination techniques in close coordination with the current operations officer, communications officer, other staff principals, and the information management cell. Liaise with the G-6 for the integration of IT with information flow processes to develop procedures that support identified information exchange requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

-3 years of experience with information management

-3 years of experience with the development, use, and administration of an electronic document management system, including SharePoint

-Experience with well-developed computing, literacy, and numeracy in an administrative environment

-Experience with advising personnel on classification, record retention, disposal schedules, and other information management processes

-Knowledge of classification standards and Privacy Act regulations for document management

-Ability to develop plans and policies associated with information management and communicate implementation effectively

-Ability to pay strict attention to detail and commitment to standards

-Secret clearance required

-HS diploma or GED required

Additional Qualifications:

-BA or BS degree

-Career Level USMC formal schooling related to MAGTF Operations, including EWS preferred
