Operations Information and Knowledge Management Analyst, Mid

Key Role:

Advise and assist on the Commander’s Critical Information Requirements (CCIR) process and procedures to include collecting and reporting, disseminating, and maintaining the CCIR. Develop processes and procedures to enhance situational awareness of current operations and dissemination of information. Develop and maintain DoD networks, SharePoint and other IT knowledge management systems to provide up-to-date client current operational picture. Develop and implement effective information dissemination techniques in close coordination with the current operations officer, communications officer, other staff principals, and the information management cell. Liaison with the client for the integration of information technologies with the information flow processes in order to develop procedures that support identified information exchange requirements. Develop client daily battle rhythms both for steady state, humanitarian assistance disaster relief (HADR), kinetic operations, and support and facilitate Boards, Bureaus, Centers, Cells and Working Groups (B2C2WG) collaboration. Develop and maintain the client Standard Operations Procedure (SOP), Tactical SOP (TACSOP), and other pertinent SOPs. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 + years of experience in information and knowledge management
  • Experience with electronic document management system, including SharePoint
  • Experience in common tactical picture design and monitoring
  • Experience in an operations center
  • Experience in an administrative environment
  • Knowledge of classification standards and Privacy Act regulations for document management
  • Ability to develop plans and policies associated with information management and communicate implementation effectively
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and commitment to standards
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in advising personnel on classification, record retention, disposal schedules, and other information management processes
  • BA or BS degree
  • Career Level USMC formal schooling
