Systems Administrator, Senior

The Challenge:

Your combination of people skills and technical expertise makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. What if you could use those skills to improve the technology and directly support Navy and Marine Corps (NMC) mission requirements. We’re looking for a systems administrator with a solid background in Microsoft Windows and ESX/ESXi engineering and administration to help us create solutions for Navy systems that will stand up to even the most advanced cyber threats.

As a systems administrator on our project, you’ll assist with the ongoing design, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical sustainment of Navy production networks. You’ll coordinate work with in-house teams to identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate your customer’s IT needs and future goals into a plan that will enable secure and effective solutions. We need to come up with the best solution, so you’ll investigate new techniques, break free from the legacy model, and go where the industry is going. You’ll lead the team through a critical approach to network design, providing alternatives and customizing solutions, to maintain a balance of security and Navy mission needs. This is a chance to make a difference in the security of Naval mission operations. Your technical expertise will be vital as you help customers overcome their most difficult challenges by integrating secure practices like endpoint-based detection, response Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), multi-factor authentication, and identity access management while also maintaining the availability of Navy networks for a diverse community of users. You’ll be able to broaden your skillset into areas like Windows server administration, group policy management, Domain Name Service (DNS), and cloud-based security while building peace of mind in critical infrastructure.
