Unmanned Systems Integration Engineer

As a systems engineer on our team, you have the chance to shape a DoD program by leading technical analysis and integration tasks that support development of unmanned undersea vehicle (UUV) capability and integration. Your customer will trust you to not only design and develop these systems, but also evolve them with advanced technology solutions. On our team, you’ll be able to broaden your skillset into areas like Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Capability Development Document (CDD), a Systems Engineering Plan (SEP), a Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), the Requirements Verification Traceability Matrix (RVTM), and configuration and risk management artifacts. You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience in the US military, DoD, or DoD contracting, including applying complex analytic techniques to address programmatic, operational, or strategic issues
  • Experience with System of Systems (SoS) engineering development and acquisition efforts
  • Experience with leadership of diverse technical teams or working groups
  • Knowledge of of US Navy submarines, including HM&E and Combat Systems, Naval Architecture, and Unmanned Undersea Vehicles (UUV)
  • Knowledge of acquisition, program management, and Test and Evaluation (T&E)
  • Ability to articulate complex issues to senior Navy or DoD decision makers
  • Secret clearance
  • BS degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with payload integration processes, including Submarine Rapid Fielding Temporary Alterations (RF TEMPALTS)
  • Experience with US Navy submarines and the Undersea Domain
  • Knowledge of unmanned vehicle payloads and sensors
  • Knowledge of System Architecture and Model-based systems engineering (MBSE) techniques for system design
  • Knowledge of US Navy submarine technical design and ocean interfaces
  • Possession of excellent analytical, operational, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • MS degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
  • Graduate of one or more Department Head tours and the Submarine Officer Advanced Course (SOAC)

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
