All-Source East Asia Intelligence Analyst, Senior

The Challenge

Critical decisions are made every single day in the military. What if you could use your analytical skills to help military decision-makers understand the threats in the Pacific region? With all the information available today, it takes a skilled analyst to know how to find and interpret the best data to give their clients the right answers. As an intelligence analyst, you will use your specialized research talents, interpersonal skills, and military experience to develop relevant products of interest to both your client and partner nations around the Pacific Rim. If you have strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset, we have an opportunity to use those skills to help enhance the security of US interests within the US Pacific Command’s (PACOM) area of responsibility and enhance cooperation with key allies in the region.

As an all-source intelligence analyst and Pacific Rim SME, you will assist with the development and coordination of value-added synthesis and analysis products to address the client’s Priority Intelligence Requirements (PIR). Research and analyze a variety of information from various of intelligence disciplines, apply analytic proficiency and sound judgment to all conclusions and recommendations, maintain awareness of key client information needs through both direct contact and research, and maintain continuous liaison with diverse regional and national intelligence community organizations. You will identify and prioritize intelligence gaps, communicates them to clients, cultivates, maintain expertise in assigned subject matter, and present material to executive-level military and government personnel.

You Have:

  • 5 years of experience as an intelligence analyst for a federal agency, including the DoD

  • 5 years of experience as an East Asia analyst with expertise in military, political, diplomatic, economic, scientific, or technical fields

  • Experience with writing and English grammar, syntax, and spelling

  • Ability to apply logical analysis and convey complex concepts through verbal, written, and visual media primarily using Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to use research techniques to find, organize, collate, and report information

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • BA or BS degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Knowledge of East Asian military structure and political dynamics

  • Knowledge of Pacific Rim regional politics, foreign policy, military, and culture

  • Knowledge of geopolitical landscape and interrelationships among East Asian countries and organizations

  • Knowledge of the US intelligence community and its mission, structure, and capabilities

  • Ability to show proficiency in a major East Asian language

  • MA or MS degree


Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
