Strategic Operational MDO Planner, Senior

Key Role:

Leverage in-depth understanding and expertise to one or more aspects of service or joint missions, processes, and culture. Support the client in leading long-range and near-term planning, guidance, and operational assessment (OA) for division, corps, and theater level Operations, Activities and Investments (OAIs) throughout the Indo-Pacific region. Coordinates with client to research, draft, and deliver all references and documentation for the future operational execution of Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) for the U.S. Army and Joint Forces. Assist in the efforts of host nation and Multilateral partners in line with current and emerging US policy and agreements. Assist and educate staff, across all functions to prepare for the arrival and execution of Multi Domain forces and successful operations in the AOR.  Provide expert recommendations and support to Combatant Command (COCOM), other service component commands, and interagency stakeholders to properly plan, prepare, and resource strategic and operational requirements. This position will require travel to various international locations up to 20% of the time.

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with operations as senior level field grade commissioned or non commissioned officer

-6+ years of experience with tactical or operational planning at the brigade, division, corps, or theater level

-3+ years of experience in operational or staff working in the Joint environment

-Experience operating in the USINDOPACOM Area of Responsibility (AOR)

-Experience in integrating MDO concepts into operational and tactical level planning

-Experience with the Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP)

-Ability to travel to U.S. and international locations up to 20% of the time

-TS/SCI clearance

-Bachelors degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Agile Combat Employment (ACE), Expeditionary Advanced Base Operations (EABO), and Distributed Maritime Operations (DMO) concepts

-Army School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS) or service-equivalent graduate
