Hybrid Cloud Engineer

Key Role:

Play a vital role in designing, deploying, and managing complex cloud environments for missions in the Indo Pacific. Help modernize IT infrastructures, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and aligned with mission objectives. Design, implement, and maintain hybrid cloud environments, integrating on-premises systems with cloud platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including cloud architects, DevOps engineers, and security specialists, to ensure seamless integration and operation of cloud environments. Support the continuous improvement of cloud environments, implementing best practices for security, performance, and cost management. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing innovative solutions to ensure high availability and reliability of cloud services. Ensure compliance with DoD security standards and regulations, maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience with containerization and container orchestration platforms, including Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitLab, and DoD security frameworks and regulations, including the Authority to Operate (ATO) process
• Experience managing hybrid cloud environments that integrate on-premises systems with cloud platforms
• Experience in DevOps, implementing and managing continuous integration and delivery pipelines
• Experience configuring, deploying, and managing SD-WAN solutions for enterprise environments
• Experience with Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) systems, including policy development and implementation, and using tools such as Terraform and AWS Cloud Formation
• Knowledge of DevOps principles and services offered by AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Secret clearance
• Associate's degree and 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering, Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering, or 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering in lieu of a degree
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification

Additional Qualifications:

• Knowledge of cloud security principles
• Ability to implement security best practices in cloud deployments
• Ability to automate cloud operations using scripting languages like Python or PowerShell
• TS/SCI clearance
• Master’s degree in a technical field
• DoD 8570 IAT Level III or similar Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
