Maritime Security Cooperation Planner, Senior

As a Senior Maritime Security Cooperation Operations Planner, you’ll bring your leadership, strategic, operational, and tactical-level expertise and experience to work alongside thought leaders in national security on projects to achieve Maritime Security Cooperation and Security Assistance objectives in the U.S. European Command Area of Responsibility. You’ll use your skills and expertise to teach, coach, and mentor senior and junior officers, civilians, and colleagues on integrating security cooperation into campaign plans and orders to achieve strategic objectives and outcomes. The client will look to you to be the go-to maritime strategist.

Work with us to plan and execute security cooperation operations, activities, and events to enable allies and partners to acquire and employ needed capabilities. You will be the focal point for authoring security cooperation plans and briefing the client’s security cooperation approach in a constantly evolving environment.

You Have:  

  • 10+ years of experience working in security cooperation or security assistance
  • 10+ years of experience working at the operational and tactical levels, conducting maritime planning and operations
  • Experience coordinating with the U.S. Navy and joint security cooperation enterprise as well as allies and partner nations, to achieve the commander’s intent, objectives, effects, and end states
  • Knowledge of the Joint Planning Process
  • Knowledge of security cooperation planning processes
  • Ability to consider, weigh, and synthesize interests and perspectives from multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to general officers or flag officers
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Completion of the Joint Professional Military Education Phase 1 Course

Nice If You Have:  

  • 10+ years of experience in the Joint, interagency, intergovernmental, and multinational environment
  • Experience teaching, coaching, and mentoring senior and junior military officers on integrating security cooperation plans to achieve strategic and campaign plan objectives while also achieving a mixed balance of product development and assisting with forecasted and forecasted staff battle rhythm events
  • Experience working at a strategic level and developing strategy
  • Experience ensuring tactical-level actions are meaningful and work towards achieving strategic objectives
  • Master’s degree 
  • Completion of the Joint Professional Military Education Phase 2, Joint Advanced Warfighting School, Maritime Advanced Warfighting School, School of Advanced Warfighting, School of Advanced Military Studies, NATO Comprehensive Operations Planning, Security Cooperation Planner’s Course, or a similar Course

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
