Defense Research and Technology Protection Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Support strategic defense technology clients in the research and technology protection domain, providing security and analysis for high-risk, high-reward development programs that have the potential to provide technology advantage. Utilize Research and Technology Protection to identify and safeguard information that impacts national security, and to protect both technical and programmatic information from initial concept through fielding. Develop tailored risk management analyses and document them for approval by senior defense officials. Define program security requirements, develop risk assessment documentation for each research effort, develop security classification guides, conduct vulnerability assessments, export control assessments, and program security reviews.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years of experience supporting Defense or Intelligence Community research or technology protection programs and performing associated processes

  • Experience developing risk assessment documents for defense research programs

  • Experience developing security classification guides

  • Experience conducting vulnerability assessments, export control assessments, and program security reviews

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Knowledge of operational, communication, and information system security procedures

  • Ability to author documents using complex data from multiple sources

  • Ability to discreetly handle sensitive, personal, and classified information

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications: 

  • 7+ years of experience supporting Defense or Intelligence Community research or technology protection programs and performing associated processes

  • Experience performing intelligence cycle or related analytic processes

  • Experience gathering research data from multiple security and technical databases

  • Knowledge of Defense research and development programs, including objectives, technologies, and associated risks and vulnerabilities

  • Possession of strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills

  • Master's degree

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
