Program Analyst, Junior

The Opportunity:

As a Junior Program Analyst, you will provide a transport division client with acquisition and program management support, financial analysis, and budget analysis relating to the business practices and re-engineering processes. The client develops strategic plans for acquiring future network architectures and maintaining current ones. As a Program Analyst, you will provide the critical expertise and skill sets necessary to accomplish the mission. Because of the complex and often unknown nature of the warfighter’s requirements, capabilities, and deployed user network infrastructure and configurations, you will be relied on to provide analytical assessments and recommendations to assist the government in planning and integrating cost-effective requirements.

As a Program Analyst on our team, you will provide programmatic support to the Program Management Office (PMO) and assist government personnel in the preparation of briefing materials for use during various meetings conferences. In this position, you’ll provide technical reviews of government documents or procedures regarding current or future configuration management issues, attend meetings as a technical representative, participate in briefings, and help assemble performance metrics for the status of networks managed. You’ll monitor the program’s schedule and coordinate with team members and external support personnel to ensure that milestones are completed on schedule. In addition, you’ll identify any tasks that are on the critical path that may delay any project or cause an impact on the overall schedule.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide entry-level program support, including schedule, funding, and day-to-day project oversight.
  • Provide project status reports, briefings, and technical updates and documentation.
  • Prepare, lead, direct, and distribute project communication with customers, management, integrated project teams, and stakeholders.

You Have: 

  • 2+ years of experience supporting projects and program management
  • 2+ years of experience developing executive-level briefings and project deliverables
  • Experience working with government or military officials on a day-to-day basis 
  • Experience conducting stakeholder outreach, including organizing and coordinating meetings 
  • Experience managing multiple efforts, including adjusting to shifting priorities and developing solutions quickly
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to support the development of customer-facing communications and training
  • Ability to work closely with technical and engineering staff to understand and simplify technical concepts  
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with internal or external client management
  • Experience with risk management
  • Experience managing critical budgets and conducting financial analysis
  • Experience with network engineering or telecommunications
  • Experience supporting programs and contracts within the Department of Defense (DoD)
  • Experience with DoD or federal acquisitions, business case analysis, or contracting
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and team engagements
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • PMP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $48,000.00 to $98,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
