Strategic Planner

The Opportunity:

As a Strategic Planner, you’ll bring your practiced operational and strategic planning expertise to support the development and implementation of special access program (SAP) plans and activities. You’ll develop and provide concepts and plans, and coordinate for concepts of operations and executions to implement those plans once approved. You’ll be a trusted advisor to our clients, and we’ll look to you to develop and recommend solutions for difficult challenges and complex issues, and identify gaps, resourcing needs, requirements, and challenges to further command strategic goals and objectives.

You’ll guide the work we do for defense customers and the solutions we deliver for strategic planning. Further your career with us as you help solve complex design, integration, and analytical problems for defense customers.

You Have: 

  • 2+ years of experience with SAP integration, development, execution, or management for CONOPs or OPLANs supporting Title 10 or 50 missions
  • Experience with the U.S. military planning process, including JPP, MDMP, NPP, or MCPP
  • Knowledge of SAP security requirements 
  • Ability to integrate SAP plans and operations with operational and strategic-level plans
  • Ability to integrate intelligence into planning
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience with military operational planning, or 5+ years of experience with military operational planning

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience in multiple positions at various operational levels, including tactical, operational, and strategic levels
  • Experience at a Combatant Command or Joint Staff
  • Experience with integrated air and missile defense (IAMD)
  • Knowledge of European theater threats, activities, and investments 
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Completion of a Joint or Service Military Deception (MILDEC) Course

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
