Mission Operations Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Bring in-depth understanding and expertise to one or more aspects of service or joint missions, processes, and culture. Serve as an operational plans and mission analyst supporting DoD senior executive responsible for cyber acquisition portfolios and capability development. Apply subject matter expertise to examine campaign plans, contingency plans, operations plans, orders, and concepts of operations for cyber assessments. Develop and coordinate staffing packages for senior leadership and departmental requirements to task actions to services and combatant commanders. Lead collaborative teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience with serving on Combatant Command staffs and interacting with senior leaders
  • 10+ years of experience with operational and technical military planning, development, coordination, and execution of Joint, Coalition and Combatant Command operations
  • 5+ years of experience with operational readiness reporting
  • Experience with leading teams to meet timelines and deliverables
  • Experience in coordinating and leading meetings, both pre-planned and short notice
  • Knowledge of DRRS, Universal Joint Task List (UJTL), Mission Essential Tasks (MET) or Mission Essential Task Lists (METL), and Joint Operations
  • Knowledge of Combatant Command planning processes and Joint Publication 5-0. Joint Publication 3-0, and Joint Publication 3-14
  • Knowledge of the Joint Planning and Execution Services (JPES), Joint Operations Planning Process (JOPP), Adaptive Planning and Execution System (APEX), or Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES)
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience as an operations research systems analyst (ORSA)
  • Experience with supporting DoD Cyber or Space focused organizations
  • Experience with data analysis and modeling and simulation tools
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, CS, or Engineering preferred; Master’s degree Cybersecurity, CS, or Engineering a plus
