Key Role:
The Cyber Internship is an innovative, hands-on internship program that attracts some of the nation’s best and brightest students. This competitive and collaborative program attracts thousands of applicants every year. Interns are broken up into teams of three to six and given a software or analysis problem to solve as a team, while being mentored throughout the summer by full-time staff, who are there to guide teams through solving their software challenges. Throughout the internship, interns receive mentorship from senior leaders, collaborate and experiment in Booz Allen’s innovation ecosystem, hear from experienced technical leaders, solve problems using Azure and AWS, and leverage the power of rapid prototyping to build, and break, software products. The summer culminates with a final Challenge Cup competition and presentation to senior leadership. Teams will learn our core values, work together to solve difficult technical problems, and have fun while doing it!
Our exclusive program is looking for talented students to work on teams in our Central Maryland office, located between Washington, DC, and Baltimore, MD. Our region focuses on designing, building, and solving Cybersecurity problems for our national security clients and building software and analysis skills to have a successful career here. Our four internship tracks include Enterprise software development, Embedded reverse engineering, Data Science and analysis, and Malware reverse engineering/penetration testing.
Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with programming and scripting languages, including Java, JavaScript, C, C++, Assembly, Python, Perl, R, or Bash
-Experience with conducting research and development
-Experience with Microsoft Office tools
-Ability to produce technical documentation and create design artifacts
-Ability to work independently and in teams
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-Scheduled to obtain a BA or BS degree in CS by Winter 2021 or Spring/Summer 2022
Additional Qualifications:
-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
