Key Role:
Design, develop, and deliver instruction to international military students. Advise international military students on research projects. Counsel international military students on course performance.
Basic Qualifications:
10 + years of experience in the field and in thought leadership in Combating Terrorism, Conflict Prevention & Recovery, Cyber Capabilities, Emergency Management & Resilience, Maritime Security, or Peacekeeping & Exercises
Experience in policy or programmatic work, research, or analysis and writing on Combating Terrorism, Conflict Prevention & Recovery, Cyber Capabilities, Emergency Management & Resilience, Maritime Security, or Peacekeeping & Exercises
Experience instructing, advising, or training military personnel, international multicultural audiences including senior-level defense officials, military officers, or security sector officials
Experience developing and presenting case studies, tabletop exercises, multilateral exercises, lane trainings, or guided discussions to international adult audiences.
Ability to travel to domestic and international locations
Secret clearance
Master’s degree
Additional Qualifications:
Experience instructing in topics, including Intelligence and investigations, asymmetrical warfare, preventing and countering violent extremism, and Violent Extremist Organizations, countering irregular warfare and tactics, preventing and responding to multidimensional threats, origin and consequences of terrorism, and countering violent extremist ideologies at the strategic level
Experience with the Special Operations Forces, Intelligence, Public Affairs, Civil Affairs, or School of Advanced Military Studies communities
Experience in a significant leadership role overseeing the design and execution of risk assessment modeling and systems, developing collaboration by intelligence agencies with other government agencies while adhering to democratic principles, and combating terrorism in a risk and net assessment context
Experience serving in a senior advisory or in a managerial capacity in conflict zones, including 3 or more active-conflict or significantly conflict-affected contexts
Experience instructing in topics, including cyber, cyber workforce development, cyber defense, integrating cyber into military operations, or network security and designing, building, and maintaining secure networks
Experience designing and managing foreign disaster response exercises
Experience as a senior-level military or law enforcement with the Coast Guard, Navy, Marine Corps, Maritime Law Enforcement organizations, INTEL, PAO, or Civil affairs communities
Experience working with US Embassies and National Peacekeeping Training Staff, UN Integrated Training Service or national PKO training centers in the design and implementation of Peacekeeping curricula
Experience delivering UN peacekeeping integrated staff exercises, Core Pre-Deployment Training Materials, including the UN Military Staff Officers Course, UN Military Observers Course, United Nations Civil-Military Coordination, Comprehensive Protection of Civilians, or Senior Leadership Program
Doctorate degree preferred
