Computational Analysis Consultant

Key Role:

Support the development and management of innovative government-run research and technology programs centered on the computational analysis of complex physical systems, as a technical consultant. Provide strategic assessments of new technologies in support of senior decision-makers while conducting background research in evaluating the feasibility and the defense applications of new technological concepts. Produce and present findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients, assist with program ideation and technical program management, and brief materials out for government R&D efforts. Work with world-class scientists in driving forward groundbreaking research efforts developing new understandings and applications of computational analysis of complex systems such as quantum turbulence and nanophotonics. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience with researching numerical techniques such as nonlinear PDEs for applications to physical systems
  • 2+ years of experience with authoring technical papers, reports, or program plans for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Master's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with applying advanced numerical techniques to quantum systems
  • Experience with defense research and development
  • Knowledge of computational physics is a plus
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent organization and client service skills
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, Computational Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Dynamics, Statistics, Economics, or a quantum science and technology related field preferred

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
