Financial and Accounting Analyst

Key Role:

Support an Army client in developing audit readiness, military pay, and General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) integration strategies to support the Army's transition to an Integrated Personnel and Pay (IPPS-A) enterprise resource planning environment to meet the congressional mandate to produce auditable financial statements. Support the creation of end to end business process (BPs) reengineering efforts and innovation concepts to modernize and standardize HR and military pay BPs that are fully auditable. Provide change management guidance in compliance with Financial Improvement Audit Readiness (FIAR) guidance principles and concepts. Work with key stakeholders to take part in IPPS-A activities, provide input, and take part in senior-level briefings, as required. Assist with facilitating working groups for the development of audit readiness and financial management solutions, optimization, and financial standardization in IPPS-A.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with supporting federal financial management, accounting, or audit functions

-5+ years of experience with GFEBS

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with the DoD or Department of Army preferred

-Experience with business process reengineering

-Knowledge of accounting principles, including OMB A-123, GAAP, GAAS, or DODFMR

-Knowledge of Defense Finance and Accounting Service payroll operations

-Ability to adapt to excel in the culture with a high degree of ambiguity

-Possession of excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-MA, MS, or MBA degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management preferred

-Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM)
