Information Assurance and Cybersecurity Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Develop and implement security solutions in alignment with security strategy. Maintain an awareness of market and technology trends to bring best of breed solutions to the client. Apply advanced consulting and extensive technical expertise and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction and mentor and supervise team members.

Basic Qualifications:

-5 years of experience with administering and implementing server STIGs, patches, and DoD policies in systems, networks, and databases

-3 years of experience in working with the Risk Management Framework and Assessment and Authorization process

-Experience with conducting vulnerability assessments and security control reviews in systems and networks

-Experience with Information Assurance Assessment and Encryption tools

-Experience with Identity and Authentication technologies tools

-Knowledge of Navy Information Assurance and Navy Assessment and Authorization Process

-Secret clearance required

-HS diploma or GED required

-DoD 8570 IAT Level III Certification required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with providing technical and non-technical IA support ensuring network systems are operational in an approved and authorized manner

-Experience in administering systems and networks with increasing levels of responsibility

-Experience with writing IA policies and procedures

-Experience with implementing and administering Host-Based Security Systems (HBSS) and Host Intrusion Prevention Systems (HIPS)

-Knowledge of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) technologies, including Splunk or SolarWinds

-Knowledge of cloud computing and virtual environments

-Ability to act independently when making technical and business judgement

-Ability to research and interpret government regulations and standards

-Ability to provide guidance to all levels of A&A technical and non-technical personnel

-Ability to analyze, define, and implement security requirements for Multilevel Security (MLS) issues

-Ability to design, develop, or recommend integrated security system solutions that will ensure proprietary and confidential data and systems are protected

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
