Generative AI Engineer, Senior
The Opportunity:
As an experienced engineer, you know that artificial intelligence (AI), particularly Generative AI and large language models (LLMs), has begun transforming the world, including every aspect of the way businesses are run. We need your technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities to identify and develop opportunities for the use of AI, ML, and LLMs to solve real-world business and operational problems that will help Booz Allen and its clients execute missions of national importance.
In this role, you will help architect and build new generative AI-based products and offerings and their integration into specific client missions, both within the enterprise business context and in operational use cases. You’ll collaborate with a team of LLM, software and IT operations engineers, AI and ML experts, data scientists, solution architects, systems engineers, and product owners to deliver world-class solutions. Your advanced solutioning skills and extensive technical expertise will help drive innovation that is applicable across multiple client domains.

You Have:
5+ years of experience with artificial intelligence, data science, ML engineering, data research, or data analytics
5+ years of experience building customer-facing solutions and products
Experience with integrating large language models, GPT models or multi-modal models with applications or user interfaces
Experience with project work in deep learning, computer vision, NLP, or chatbot development
Experience with writing source code for new applications or enhancing and optimizing code for existing applications
Ability to develop backend infrastructure and APIs using Java or Python
Knowledge of MLOps, including CI/CD, model training or testing, deployment, or monitoring
Ability to distill complex technical concepts into easily understood summaries consumable by business leaders with a non-technical background
DHS Suitability
Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
2+ years of experience working with modern AI capabilities in machine learning, including deep learning and natural language processing, and LLM frameworks
Experience with frameworks, including Huggingface, LangChain, AutoGPT, or AgentGPT
Experience with GPU programming, including CUDA or RAPIDs
Ability to develop with front-end languages, including javascript, html, or react
Experience with standup of Cloud-based infrastructure and platform services, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Experience working with federal clients
Possession of strong verbal and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $125,600.00 to $285,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
