As a curriculum developer and instructional designer, you know that even the best tools and processes can’t have an impact without the right education. Reviewing and

constructing an interactive course that teaches critical skills requires a real passion for understanding the needs of your customer. We have an opportunity for an instructional developer who is committed to solving some of the toughest challenges.

On our team, you’ll work with SMEs and instructors and be responsible for reviewing and assessing of the adequacy of the Collective Training Plan (CTP), Course Description Data (CDD), and Program of Instruction (POI) products, and serve as the Quality Control Point for the client. You will review CTP, CDDs, and POIs, including Instructor Computation Worksheets (ICWs), Concept Cards, Tasks Lists, Lists of Equipment, Learning Objectives Report, written tests, and other materials. Based on a broad, in-depth system approach to training (SAT) knowledge, you will develop verbal and written recommendations where inconsistencies or discrepancies in content are found for improving the clarity, accuracy, and consistency of the products. This requires considerable coordination with all branches conducting training.

You’ll use your technical skills, creativity, and experience to come up with new ideas to develop an engaging, interactive learning experience on screen or in a classroom. You’ll recommend cutting-edge multimedia technologies and strategies to build a successful learning environment. You know communication is key, so you’ll meet with SMEs and instructors throughout the process to discuss learning material and incorporate feedback. As a leader, you’ll identify new opportunities to build solutions to your customer’s learning needs. You Have:

  • Experience developing curriculum in accordance with the SAT and MCO 1553.2B

  • Experience conducting Course Content Review Boards (CCRB) to ensure that the approved recommendations contained in the Record of Proceedings (ROP) are addressed in proposed CTP, CDD, or POI

  • Experience with modern learning technological solutions, such as learning management systems, AR/VR, modeling, and simulation

  • Experience designing and developing learning programs across delivery mediums and content types, including mobile learning, e-learning, video, gamification, virtual learning, simulation, and live classroom

  • Experience designing and developing scalable, engaging, online training

  • Knowledge of the SAT process and the MCTIMS curriculum development program to interpret Marine Corps policy, perform courseware review functions, and recommend corrective action when deficiencies are identified

  • Ability to interact with SMEs and instructors to design curriculum that challenges the learner and meets the mission requirement

  • Secret clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Joint and MEF Level

  • Knowledge of the MCO 3502.2A certification program

  • Knowledge Joint Training and MEF Level Training

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • DoD Curriculum Development Certification

  • Completion of Facilitate Learning Experience (FLEX) Course

  • Completion of Design Learning Experience (DLEX) Course

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
