Defense Resource Analyst (Sr)

Key Role:

Apply expertise in qualitative and quantitative analysis. Provide recommendations for an organization’s capabilities with the demands of theater and global campaign plans, as published by Marine Components, current National Military Strategic guidance, or directed by service readiness guidelines. Conduct vulnerability analysis with aligned areas of operations and develop reports and recommended actions. Analyze strategic and long-range plans and operational concepts for an organization’s employment and develop analysis and reports to improve plans, concepts, and fiscal assessment for an overall organizational development program. Conduct analysis and develop recommendations regarding organizations aligning its efforts to Man, Train, and Equip its forces according to Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC) and Higher Headquarters (HHQ) requirements balanced against current capabilities and readiness of the units sourced against these requirements.

 

Basic Qualifications:

-10 years of experience with active or reserve duty Navy or Marine Corps

- Experience with strategic planning, campaign and operations planning, defense and Joint missions, organization, processes, policy and culture, defense strategies, priorities, and resources, technical research, decision making, and critical thinking

-Knowledge of The Marine Corps and Joint Planning Process, policy development, exercise development, and critical thinking, MAGTF, Joint, coalition, multi-national, inter-agency operations, and naval integration

-Ability to conduct strategic planning and provide assessments and briefing products to General Officer

-Secret clearance

-BS degree

 

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with OPLANS and CONPLAN development

-Experience with developing standing operating procedures, lessons learned, and operational assessments 

-Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

-Knowledge of Naval Integration, Amphibious Operations, and C2 Systems

-Ability to articulate thoughts clearly both written and spoken to an audience of senior military officers

 

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
