Technical Writer and Editor

Key Role:

Provide technical writing and editing support, including programmatic and engineering documentation for the client. Interview subject matter experts and distill knowledge into clear and concise language in appropriate templates. Leverage knowledge of technical writing best practices and various DoD guidance to edit documentation precisely.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with military standards and specifications governing the preparation of technical documentation

-Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

-Ability to create documentation templates, as needed

-Ability to provide leadership to junior staff

-Ability to work independently and within a fast-paced team environment

-Active TS/SCI clearance

-HS diploma or GED and 7+ years of experience with editing, preparing, and producing technical reports and documentation, including technical manuals, specifications, and military standards or BA or BS degree and 3+ years of experience with editing, preparing, and producing technical reports and documentation, including technical manuals, specifications, and military standards

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Cyber accreditation process and IT documentation

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
