Capability Developer

Key Role:

Provide JCIDS research and writing support to current, new start, and Army directed products and initiatives. Work on projects with approved JCIDS capability documents that are generally between Milestone A and post Milestone C. Work on directed initiatives defined as projects without approved JCIDS requirements. Work on requirements that include Movement and Maneuver Exoskeleton and the Family of Integrated Tactical Sensors (FITS) requirement, including Soldier Enhancement Program Experimentation, Leader Follower, Automated Convoy Operations, and the Exoskeleton/Warrior Suit. Work with a team of capability developers that works directly for a government client.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with specialized UGS requirements development
  • Knowledge of human engineering and physical performance technology, including wearable devices that work in tandem with user
  • Knowledge of amplifiers, rigid materials, sensors, actuators, or powered armor
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence, interoperability, network security, machine learning and collaboration
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in EE, Mechanical Engineering, Business Management, Project Management, Information Systems or CS

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of DOD acquisition practices including planning, coordinating, and implementing capabilities-based programs and supporting the acquisition of a variety of combat arms and robotics related equipment
  • Knowledge of DOD robotics and autonomous systems/programs, applique and payloads
  • Knowledge of robotic technologies, levels of autonomy in unmanned systems and various smart materiel solutions
  • Knowledge of the synergistic integration of mechanics, electronics, and computer technology for the production of enhanced products and systems
  • Knowledge of current and future unmanned ground and Aircraft robotic systems and applique, including associated doctrine, tactics and techniques of employment
  • Ability to use a systems-based process in the development of required systems capabilities, ensuring the successful integration of robotic systems and platforms
  • Top Secret clearance
