Protection Program Security Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Apply expertise in protection program security engineering for moderately complex situations. Maintain responsibility for comprehending and applying Army, DoD, and other protection program rules, regulations, and activities, tracking and evaluating all regulations, and evaluating moderately complex mission assurance or security engineering tasks during protection program assessments at Army installations worldwide. Apply expertise in security engineering procedures, policies, and directives. Develop, analyze, and evaluate existing or proposed moderately complex security engineering plans or procedures. Leverage knowledge of applicable DoD, Army, and other directives and regulations related to security engineering, infrastructure protection, and physical security at a level sufficient to manage the area-wide implementation of moderately complex policies, programs, and procedures. This position requires travel approximately 25% of the time.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with installation protection programs, including security engineering
  • Experience with assessments in a DoD organization
  • Knowledge of security engineering concepts and principles
  • Ability to analyze installation programs, document findings, and report the findings to senior leadership
  • Secret clearance
  • BA or BS degree
  • Completion of Anti-Threat Officer Level II training
  • Completion of US Army Corps of Engineers Security Engineering training

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience as an installation anti-threat or physical security officer
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
