The Challenge:

Everyone knows security needs to be “baked in” to a system architecture, but you actually know how to bake it in. You can identify and implement ways to harden systems and reduce their attack surface. What if you could use your cyber engineering skills to design and build secure systems for the federal government? We’re looking for an engineer who can create solutions that will stand up to even the most advanced cyber threats.

As a Cybersecurity Data Quality Engineer on our project, you’ll be working to support mission critical operations to support the federal government. You’ll coordinate work with SME's to identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate your customer’s IT needs and future goals into a plan that will enable secure and effective solutions. We need to come up with the best solution, so you’ll investigate new techniques, break free from the legacy model, and go where the industry is going. You’ll lead the team through a critical approach to network design, providing alternatives and customizing solutions, to maintain a balance of security and mission needs. This is a chance to make a difference in the security of our nations cybersecurity sector. Your technical expertise will be vital as you help customers overcome their most difficult challenges by integrating secure practices like endpoint based detection, response EDR, multi-factor authentication, identity and access management and advanced analytics. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., including the District of Columbia.

You Have:

• Experience with R, Python or Java

• Experience with Splunk

• Experience with Ticket management and prioritization with Atlassian JIRA or ServiceNow  

• Experience with Data Quality management and converting customer requirements to technical requirements    

• Experience developing and automating metrics and measures associated with Data Quality  

• Experience in an Agile work environment   

• Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex, dynamic problems in an enterprise IT environment

• Ability to test application design and develop unit testing for developed solutions

• Ability to obtain a security clearance

• HS Diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with cloud computing environments, including AWS, Azure, or ElK Stack

• Experience with Git version control

• Experience in Agile work environment

• Ability to communicate technical requirements to engineering or development teams

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Mathematics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or Engineering

• Splunk Certified Architect Certification

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Compensation:

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 120,000 to 140, 000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
