We’re looking for a systems administrator who specializes in helping to identify and resolve issues regarding system performance, access and end-user support requests across a variety of technologies in naval environments. The ability to identify, communicate, and resolve technical issues is important in all aspects of this role.

As a systems administrator on our project, you’ll identify, communicate, and resolve technical issues to ensure the current infrastructure is functional and available, constantly looking for ways to make the infrastructure better using the latest technology and the best implementation strategies. You’ll help customers overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network. Your experience and communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and communicate their meaning. This is an opportunity to gain experience by working collaboratively with a broad spectrum of DoD programs, Fleet commands, and warfare centers to deliver readiness assessment products and diagnostic information for deployed systems. We focus on growing as a team, so we’ll share techniques, work through challenges, and develop new methodologies together. You Have:

• 6+ years of experience with systems administration
• Experience with Microsoft Windows server administration, Linux server administration, and VMWare administration
• Experience with centralized identity management software administration, including Microsoft Active Directory
• Knowledge of SMTP, DNS, DHCP, Proxy and NTP technologies, and Storage Area Network technologies
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• BA or BS degree
• CompTIA Security+ Certification

Nice If You Have:

• 2+ years of experience as Help Desk support
• Experience with prior DoD systems
• Experience performing server and network scans to identify system vulnerabilities
• Experience with PowerShell and other scripting
• Knowledge of the Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and Network Policy
• Knowledge of MS-SQL/Oracle Database
• Ability to work as a team member and individually
• Ability to have a "get it done” attitude and the initiative to problem solve
• Possession of excellent problem-solving skills
• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
