Navigation Technician

Key Role

Leverage expertise in the development, analyze, and perform tests for Naval Navigation systems by collaborating with engineering and technical departments. Apply specific functional knowledge and industry knowledge to develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of technical problems. Contribute to the design, preparation, and modification of engineering documents and drawings. Work independently to review or guide the activities of junior employees. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 14 years of experience with US Navy Electronics and installation of such equipment
  • 8 years of experience with Navigation Systems
  • 4 years of experience with design, preparation and modification of engineering documents, and drawings
  • Experience with the operation of the AN/WSN-7, DEML, DHYSL, NAVSSI, and Voyage Management System (VMS) 
  • Secret clearance
  • AA or AS degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Engineering Technology

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
