Materials Science and Engineering Summer Intern

Key Role:

Provide support in the performance of research related tasks, including data collection, manipulation and presentation, literature search, and interviewing. Compile reference and statistical data into standard formats. Perform assignments with a minimum of supervision and guidance and that are based on general directions.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with engineering software tools

-Ability to comprehend engineering concepts, methodologies, and processes

-Ability to gather and analyze data effectively

-Ability to work with and be exposed to military systems, sub-systems, and technologies

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-Scheduled to obtain a BS degree in Spring 2022

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with unmanned system and robotic technologies

-Ability to apply critical thinking to a wide variety of problems

-Ability to fabricate and assemble system and subsystem components

-Ability to work in a complex team environment under guidance of the engineering staff

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Active Secret clearance
