Training Specialist, Senior

Key Role:

Serve as a senior training specialist developing training materials, supporting, managing, planning, coordinating, training, and executing all the areas of system elements to ensure quality integration and sustainment. Conduct research to develop and revise training courses and prepare appropriate training materials, including computer based course implementations. Train personnel in formal classroom courses, workshops and seminars, or virtually if appropriate. Prepare and modify DoD technical documents, in particular training materials, supply, purchase, provision, design, and reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) analysis of complex mechanical and electronic systems and equipment. Coordinate with the tracking, shipping, and receiving of government assets to various government sites for installation, testing and user training. Provide logistical support to installation and maintenance teams to ensure timely arrival of equipment and property accountability. Use office automation tools and techniques to design and generate reports, briefing materials, or comparable documents along with applying analytical methods and techniques to resolve unique and complex logistics issues.                       

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience training in military systems

  • Experience preparing and editing DOD training documents, technical documents, supply, purchasing, provisioning, design, and reliability, availability and maintainability (RAM) analysis of complex mechanical and electronics systems and equipment

  • Knowledge of Type Classification (TC), Materiel Release (MR) and materiel fielding processes

  • Knowledge of the Army's IAMD Battle Command System (IBCS) major end items (MEIs)

  • Knowledge of AR 700-142 regulations, processes and procedures and DADA Pam 700-142 instructions

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with working in military logistics

  • Ability to communicate professionally and persuasively, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders at all levels

  • Ability to use computers, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
