Defense Research Analyst, Mid

Key Role:

Participate in the identification, analysis, and evaluation of policy, processes, and systems. Identify solutions for complex information requirements problems via a combination of subject matter expertise, analytic judgment, and proven analytic practices. Prepare briefings and reports on analysis methodologies and results. Provide work leadership for junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with the Marine Corps at senior company grade (O-3), junior field grade (O-4), or senior staff noncommissioned officer (E-8/9) level
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to create strong written and verbal presentations using MS Office
  • Active Secret clearance
  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with leading ad-hoc project teams with requirement to provide defined, tangible deliverables, including formal reports and briefings
  • Experience with serving at a General Officer level staff or at the Pentagon
  • Knowledge of Navy and Marine Corps organizational and operational concepts, structure, and equipment
  • Knowledge of the Headquarters Marine Corps organization, mission, functions, and responsibilities
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • MA, MS, MBA, or MEM degree
  • Graduate of Marine Corps Expeditionary Warfare School or Command and Staff College
