Data Analyst

Key Role:

Support business and data analyses to inform program decisions and management recommendations. Identify data sources and make recommendations to improve the data collection pipeline while constantly evaluating data quality performance. Evaluate and recommend changes to an analysis’ design of experiments to collect robust samples of data. Execute modeling and measuring techniques and use mathematics, statistical and engineering methods, and operational mathematics techniques and develop logic to execute modeling and simulation for complex systems, including vehicles and human performance. Conduct statistical, economic, and quantitative analyses to support an organization's information, decision, and planning needs. Analyze the development of cost or risk analyses, cost controls, procedures, systems, forecasting and statistical techniques to evaluate contract and program status. Develop cost benefit analysis, conduct analysis of alternatives, and business cases and perform other economic analyses while ensuring compliance with government, commercial and international requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with business and data analyses, including data collection, normalization and exploratory analysis

-Experience with coding in an analytical language, including R, Python, SQL, VBA, or Matlab

-Experience with statistical modeling techniques

-Experience with assessing design of experiments

-Experience with analysis and modeling in Microsoft Excel 

-Experience with presentation development in Microsoft PowerPoint

-Experience with working on a team in a multi-disciplinary and collaborative environment

-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with R Shiny development
-Experience with data visualization tools, including Tableau and Power BI
-Experience with Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools (ACEIT)
-Experience with supporting the Army or other DoD clients

-Experience with mathematics and physics

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills to convey insights to audiences of varying technical backgrounds
-Possession of excellent problem solving skills, including using intellectual curiosity to solve business problems
-Possession of excellent interpersonal skills
-Secret clearance
-MBA  degree preferred; MS degree in Economics, Business, Statistics, Finance, or a related field a plus
-Professional Cost Estimator/Analyst, Business or Data Analysis, or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
