Targeting Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Provide subject matter expertise to combined and Joint space operations to analyze existing targeting processes and methodologies. Produce actionable recommendations that result in unity of effort across the space enterprise related to targeting selection, analysis, and methodologies. Improve planning, integration, execution, speed, and coordination of future space effects to operations in theater and strategic plans in collaboration with regional stakeholders, parent organizations, and respective supported space elements is expected. This position is located in California and requires the ability to travel up to 15% of the time.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience with operational and technical military planning, development, coordination, and execution of Joint, Coalition, and Service participation in Combatant Command (CCMD) operations, exercises, demonstrations, experiments, and real-world operations
  • Knowledge of Combined Force Space Component Command (CFSCC), Combined Space Operations Center (CSpOC), SPACECOM, STRATCOM planning processes, Joint Publication 5-0, Joint Publication 3-14, or Joint Publication 3-60
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in an Air or Space Operations Center or other service component operational-level command center
  • Experience with military forces, including the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) engagement
  • Experience as staff at Joint Functional Component Command for Space (JFSCC), US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), or other Major Command
  • Knowledge of the Joint Planning Targeting
  • Command and Staff Colleges, US Naval War College, US Army War College, USAF Air War College, National Defense University, Marine Corps War College, or School of Advanced Warfighting (SAW) Mid to Senior-level Professional Military Graduate
