Cartographer, Mid

The Challenge:

With Cloud based tools, faster GPUs, and the explosion of connected devices, geospatial data has more potential than ever. That data is powerful in the hands of a skilled analyst who can turn it into mission critical information. If that sounds like you, we have an opportunity for you to use your geospatial analysis skills to improve our nation’s security.

As a Booz Allen Geospatial Analyst, you’ll be working with a team of analysts and graphic designers to extract meaning and context from a variety of data sources. Using tools like ArcGIS, Adobe Creative Cloud, Avenza Map Publisher, JavaScript, D3, Highmaps, and Leaflet, you’ll find the patterns and connections to answer your customers’ needs. Your visualization skills will come in handy as you build various maps and graphics to make sure intelligence analysts have the timely information they need. You’ll support the Media Services Team by providing cartographic support on classified and unclassified intelligence products on behalf of a government customer. You’ll meet with intelligence analysts to gather requirements and build custom maps using ESRI ArcMap 10.2, or above, while applying agency cartographic standards and layouts for finished map development in Adobe Illustrator. You’ll identify, examine, and process raw data, trends, analysis, and assessments in order to aggregate disparate information, leverage both analytic and visualization tools, and design and deliver infographics across a range of media platforms. We focus on growing as a team, so we’ll share techniques, work through challenges, and develop workflows. This is an opportunity to build your experience in working with the intelligence community while developing products to improve national security. Join us as we turn data into knowledge to enhance national intelligence.
