Key Role:
Apply expertise in both IP networking, security, and testing to maintain reliable, secure, and efficient data communications networks in support of mission critical support networks. Analyze local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, and selecting operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices. Resolve interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms, including e-mail, file transfer, multimedia, and teleconferencing. Define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret developmental tests for new or modified products or product components, investigate and resolve operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel, and provide technical support and advice to other engineering groups. Participate in the development, maintenance, and refinement of internal quality control and reliability programs.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with cybersecurity, communications, or network engineering
Experience with configuring networking equipment, including Cisco, Aruba, or Juniper products
Experience in the implementation and delivery of DISN services, including VoIP, VTC, NIPR, or SIPR
Knowledge of System Information Management (SIEM) system integration, including Splunk
Knowledge of Networking Detection and Response (NDR) Tools
Knowledge of voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) gateways, call managers, performance enhancing proxies (PEP), or telephony systems
Secret clearance
HS Diploma or GED
Security+ or DoD 8570, IAT Level II Certification
CCNA Certification
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with implementing Navy Cybersecurity policy or DoD Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements
Ability to identify and implement new network and security tools and solutions
Ability to learn new systems and troubleshoot complex network solutions
Ability to configure, maintain, and monitor all active network equipment
Ability to resolve incidents, problems, and change requests in accordance with service-level agreements and approved maintenance windows
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
Clearance:
