Windows System Administrator and Network Specialist, Senior

The Challenge:

What if you could use your hardware and software skills to improve the technology supporting critical Navy systems and infrastructure? With so much relying on complex systems, a skilled systems administrator can be the difference that makes a project successful. We’re looking for a systems administrator who specializes in Windows server and systems administration to help us create solutions for Navy systems that will stand up to even the most advanced Cyber threats.

As a systems administrator on our project, you’ll assist with the ongoing design, maintenance, and technical support for Navy production networks. You’ll install and configure new server environments to meet the requirements of a re-engineered production environment. You'll apply industry standards for maintaining security in accordance with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG). You’ll help customers overcome the challenges that come with data and application migration while also maintaining compliance with both DoD and Department of Navy (DoN) standards. You’ll work with in-house teams to identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate your customer’s needs and future goals into a plan that will enable secure and effective solutions while also ensuring that the current infrastructure is functional and available. You’ll help customers overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network. Your experience and communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and communicate their meaning. You’ll be able to broaden your skillset into areas like Linux administration in a virtual environment and Cloud-based security while building peace of mind in a critical infrastructure.
