Security Cooperation Operations Planner

The Opportunity:

As a defense mission professional, you ask questions others don’t. You understand the nuances of complex situations. You use your skills to think bigger and push further, solving complex problems. We have an opportunity for a security cooperation operations planner to join our team as we support the U.S. Army’s persistent engagement with a key partner in the Indo-Pacific region. You will play a pivotal role in the planning and execution of high-level, persistent security cooperation activities and military exercises. You will help manage a large team of senior mentors who will interact with a foreign partner on a recurring basis in region. You will develop the engagement plan, focus areas, and pre- and post-travel assessments, as well as support the daily operations of the U.S. government client. You will also travel into the region to support key activities and solve complex and unforeseen problems in an international space.

You Have: 

  • Experience with military staff operations, including Joint and Service processes, conducting training assessments, and measuring expertise
  • Experience researching and writing background papers, talking points, and written statements
  • Knowledge of Title 22 vs Title 10 U.S. Code concerning training laws, programs, and limitations
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to operate in an international setting with culturally diverse groups
  • Ability to provide executive-level briefings
  • Ability to be flexible, take initiative, and innovate to succeed in an ambiguous, fast-paced, and cross-functional environment, composing client deliverable quality documentation, analysis, and reports
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience with operational deployment and redeployment, and reception, staging, and onward integration (RSOI), or Master’s degree and 3+ years of experience with operational deployment and redeployment, and reception, staging, and onward integration (RSOI)

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience with consulting for the federal government, the Intelligence Community (IC), the Department of Defense (DoD), or FEDSIM programs
  • Knowledge of the Joint Training Program (JTP) and JELC doctrine and processes
  • Knowledge of information security (INFOSEC) and risk analysis, management, and mitigation
  • Ability to identify training gaps in an organization, define root problems, and develop appropriate and practical solutions
  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail
  • Ability to develop multiple complex reports with specific deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple stakeholders
  • Possession of excellent relationship-building and time management skills
  • TS/SCI clearance

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
