Software Test Engineer

Key Role:

Develop systems that you can anticipate and preempt future issues. Evolve skills into strategy through a long path of software development accomplishments and understand how all the pieces of an IT ecosystem fit together. Use a combination of knowledge, skill, and expertise to take on the toughest challenges in the IC. Work to build the future of technology in the IC.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience testing or developing software applications
  • Experience with designing and executing test scripts, test plans, and procedures and documenting the expected and actual results
  • Experience in coordinating and executing acceptance testing
  • Experience in requirements traceability
  • Experience with test methodologies, software release cycle, test effort estimation, and tracking
  • Experience in Linux or UNIX environments
  • Experience generating and managing test data
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of hire

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with testing frameworks like Cucumber
  • Experience with Load or Performance testing
  • Experience with JMeter
  • Experience testing Cloud-based architectures and test automation
  • Experience with an Agile release methodology
  • Knowledge of government contracting practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment
  • Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC certification

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
