The Opportunity

The Information Environment (IE) is a key element of military planning and operations. Effective operations in the information environment (OIE) are crucial to achieving U.S. national goals. As an information professional, you know how to engage and influence key audiences to achieve desired effects in the IE. We’re looking for an experienced information specialist like you who is ready to share their knowledge and willing to win for the client and live our mission every day. Here, you’ll use your consulting skills and experience to design, develop, produce, and consult on a variety of information efforts to support national security.

As an information professional on our team, you’ll develop creative solutions to complex problems. Your self-guided yet collaborative spirit will shape and nurture relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients to research, plan, and assess operations in the information environment. You will advise the client on the most effective ways to integrate information-related capabilities to support and protect national interests in the Indo-Pacific region. You will examine, analyze, and recommend the most effective methods, data sources, and technology solutions to provide effective operational messaging of Joint and multi-national operations, activities, and investments. You’ll leverage your research, analysis, and planning experience to deliver unbiased and effective data-driven approaches to combat malign foreign influence. You’ll synchronize, coordinate, and integrate assessments at the strategic, operational, and tactical levels. You’ll collaborate with team members and travel to international team sites and work with other Combatant Commands, Services, and subordinate units to understand current operational limitations and opportunities. You will examine, analyze, and synthesize reporting to recommend the most effective methods, data sources, and technology solutions to effectively assess the impact of operations in the IE.

You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience working with the DoD
  • 4+ years of experience coordinating Information Operations (IO) requirements as it applies to the operational level of warfare, including planning, organizing, conducting, and assessing exercises or operations to enhance DoD military units employing IO
  • 4+ years of experience executing the Joint Planning Process
  • 4+ years of experience in the Indo-Pacific theater and with its security threats
  • Experience with the Joint Exercise Life Cycle
  • Ability to develop and apply quantitative and qualitative methods to assess IO plans against the Combatant Command and service component priorities, orders, and requirements
  • Ability to evaluate and implement current and future IO policy objectives and procedures
  • Ability to effectively develop, communicate, and present products to senior leadership, including plans, orders, assessments, after action reports
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience leading or performing intelligence activities across a spectrum of military operations
  • Experience with the Joint Exercise Life Cycle
  • Experience with public affairs or strategic communications
  • Experience designing assessment frameworks or methodologies for analyzing operations in the information environment
  • Experience at the Combatant Command, Service Component, or Theater Special Operations Command headquarters level
  • Experience writing and editing for news or professional publications in a professional work environment
  • Experience working with distributed teams using asynchronous communications
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Master’s degree

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
