Digital Transformation Specialist

As an experienced digital transformation strategy professional, you know that implementing improved digital initiatives with the effective application of agile principles, process improvements, and roadmaps is crucial for an organization’s future. You’re eager to apply your experience and Global Defense knowledge to redefine what’s possible and achieve it. We’re looking for someone like you to help organizations solve their traditional business challenges with new digital transformation architecture from roadmap to implementation.

As a digital transformation specialist on our team, you’ll transform and modernize the Navy and Marine Corps implementation of technology to support the warfighters by implementing lean-agile principles and building processes that enable data-driven decisions. Using Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Power Platform tools, you’ll work alongside key stakeholders and other team members to share your expertise on technical ecosystems and implement transformative technology for naval ships, systems, and people.

  

In this role, you’ll directly impact Naval warfare capability by working with cross-organizational and cross-functional teams to plan, build, implement, and iterate on advanced digital solutions, processes, and workflows to help our clients achieve their digital missions. You’ll lead discussions with team leads and management on relevant topics while keeping the collective team focused and tracking commitments, pace, and quality. You Have:  

  • Experience with coaching, mentoring, or advising technology leaders through a sophisticated lean-agile transformation

  • Experience in developing and analyzing tests for products and systems

  • Experience in leveraging Agile practices to develop metrics and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and presenting this data to leaders to inform decisions

  • Knowledge of Jira and Confluence

  • Knowledge of scaled agile methodology, such as the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

  • Ability to lead discussions with executives, team leads, and leaders within the organization on transformation topics

  • Ability to develop innovative solutions to complex problems

  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Systems Engineering and 3+ years of experience as an Agilist facilitating transformations as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach or 4+ years of experience as an Agilist facilitating transformations as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in lieu of a degree

  • Scrum Master, Product Owner, Release Train Engineer, or SAFe Practice Consultant Certification

Nice If You Have:  

  • 5+ years of experience with IT and analytics process design, organizational models, service delivery models, and workflow automation

  • 5+ years of experience in driving digital transformation initiatives

  • Knowledge of operating in the Navy or Marine Corps or on projects supporting them

  • Advanced SAFe Practice Consultant Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
