Facilities Mechanical Engineer

Key Role:

Manage projects of varying size from inception and scope development with the end user, creating the scope of work and funding documentation, establish phasing requirements, solicit contractors and to execute the scope of work for development of contract or design documents with specifications, coordinate distribution and review of contract documents with stakeholders and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), and work with construction managers to execute the work. Must be able manage all aspects of mechanical design to include production and technical quality of the design, drawings, specifications, surveys, studies, reports, and presentations. Needs to attend and contribute to project meetings during the conceptual stage throughout project execution. Work closely with Clients and End Users in concert with Officers-in-Charge, Security, and other Project Managers and AHJs throughout project execution. Oversee technical reviews of proposals for USG work including design projects, coordination of construction documents, commissioning projects, building utility infrastructure, and large equipment recapitalization projects.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience as a professional engineer

  • Experience with REVIT, or AutoCAD

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs, such as MS Excel, MS Project, and MS SharePoint

  • Knowledge of TRANE Trace700, RSMeans Costworks, SpecsIntact, COMcheck

  • Certified Energy Manager

  • Project Management Professional Certification

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
