Software Engineer, Lead

This role is more than just coding. As a lead full stack developer at Booz Allen, you’ll oversee a team as they learn new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements. You’ll help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You’ll make sure the solution developed by the team considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements.

You Have:
14+ years of experience as a software engineer
10+ years of experience with UI development and design
10+ years of experience using version control systems such as Git
Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating backend services
Knowledge of React and its ecosystem
Ability to customize UI for mission and site needs
Ability to collaborate with the development team to translate design mock-ups into functional features
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 18+ years of experience in software engineering in lieu of a degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience with DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
Experience with popular React.js workflows
Experience with HTML5 UI frameworks for building interactive and high-performance applications
Experience troubleshooting existing JavaScript scripts
Knowledge of React.js core principles
Knowledge of newer specifications of 508-Compliance
Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
Knowledge of modern front-end build pipelines and tools
Knowledge of software development languages, such as Java
Ability to assist developers in reviewing code for troubleshooting purposes
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,100.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
