Graphic Design Specialist

Key Role:

Produce graphic designs, using a variety of techniques and software, for both print and electronic communications, including promotions, advertisements, and instructional materials distributed through a variety of media outlets. Apply specific functional, working, and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions for a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance and review or guide the activities of junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with working on graphic design projects and creative direction assignments

  • Experience with facilitating discussions with clients about complex workforce messages and data representations or visualizations

  • Experience with Adobe CC, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat Pro

  • Experience with using Microsoft Office Suite Applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Ability to work with the client to define project requirements and provide process advice for optimal visual communication production

  • Ability to provide a portfolio showcasing a broad range of graphic design competencies

  • Ability to deliver innovative solutions and superior visual communication products, including infographics, publications, instructional materials, brochures, posters, banners, fact sheets, executive-level presentations, digital marquees, and digital and web advertisements

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with data visualization, finished intelligence, infographic production, post processing data, and flow charts

  • Experience with adhering to brand management guidelines

  • Experience with working in IC or DoD environments

  • Knowledge of human-centered design methodology or design thinking principles

  • Knowledge of WordPress, Joomla!,  Content Management Systems, or HTML, CSS, or MATLAB

  • Ability to be a self-starter, pay strict attention to detail, and multitask across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written skills, including communicating presentations to internal and external professionals at all levels

  • Master's degree

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $51,600.00 to $106,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
