Strategic Performance Management Analyst

The Opportunity: 

As a strategic planning and performance management analyst on our team, you’ll design, implement, and maintain impactful programs by guiding the effort for a senior government official who oversees the strategy of a program executive office. Your client will trust you to organize and coordinate portfolio objectives and navigate requirements, budget constraints, cost analysis, and staffing challenges. You will also develop and interpret cost and performance metrics and interact knowledgeably with Business Financial Managers (BFMs). You’ll collect, analyze, and generate executive-level reports from multiple data sources and utilize data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI. You understand cost drivers, cost estimating relationships, and the PPBE process and possess lateral and vertical analytical skills.

You will apply broad understanding and experience with both quantitative and qualitative analysis to improve organizational performance through changes to strategy, organization structure, processes, financial management, cost analysis, information technology, enterprise cost reduction, management practices, and cost drivers. You will make recommendations on how to capitalize on opportunities to improve client performance, advise on improving operations and increasing process efficiency, provide recommendations on expanding or streamlining business operations, examine complex systems and advise on cost reduction solutions, mitigate and manage risks, and serve as an expert practitioner with multiple areas of experience in defense acquisitions, defense business systems, digital transformation, and strategic management.

You Have:

  • Experience in strategic level performance management with a focus on cost savings, cost variance, and performance metrics

  • Experience developing data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI

  • Knowledge of cost drivers, cost estimating relationships, the PPBE process, financial management, and budgeting processes and cycles

  • Ability to develop and interpret cost and performance metrics and interact knowledgeably with Business Financial Managers (BFMs) and Cost Analysts or Cost Estimators

  • Ability to collect, analyze, and synthesize executive-level reports from multiple data sources and communicate effectively

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience in a defense acquisition or business transformation program office or a headquarters environment, bringing valuable insights and leadership skills to the role

  • Ability to establish and maintain trust, fostering strong relationships with the client and team members

  • Ability to work onsite in Arlington, VA

  • Possession of excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a commitment to direct engagement with the client in a dynamic environment

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
