Rebreather Dive Sustainment Engineering Technician

Key Role:

Work in assembly or fabrication of electrical, electronic, or mechanical components or equipment. May operate mechanical machinery, calibration equipment, power tools, and electronic tooling. Apply specific functional knowledge and working or general industry knowledge. May assist in the development of solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work under general supervision. May provide guidance for less experienced team members.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in the military with diving and rebreathers, including hands-on roles involving equipment and oxygen systems

  • Experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex systems, including Navy rebreathers

  • Experience reading and interpreting technical assembly drawings

  • Experience working with electronic components and soldering in compliance with J-Standard

  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems

  • Secret clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

  • Completion of Military Electronics, Mechanics, or Rebreather Training

  • Military or Combat Diver Certification

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with 3D printing and fabrication techniques

  • Knowledge of power and signal systems such as CAT5, 6, or 8COAX, including cable building, testing, and repair

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Possession of excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • J-Standard Soldering Certification

  • Completion of the Navy Instructor Training Course (NITC)

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,300.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
