Product Support Engineer

Key Role:

Provides technical and management leadership and expertise for product support activities and tasks related to S-Series specifications. Applying comprehensive knowledge of the Department’s lifecycle sustainment, standards, and product support concepts, practices and methods that ensure efficient and cost-effective capability delivery of weapons systems. Provide input to and enable the coordination of department-level sustainment, logistics, and intellectual property policy. Support the development of the sustainment workforce and leadership by preparing briefings, reports, information papers, memorandums, talking points, and other forms of communication. Provide analysis and considerations to support the improvement of sustainment policy, process, and procedures pertaining to standards and intellectual property. Develop recommendations and execute plans applying sustainment expertise in response to statutory, regulatory, and policy updates. Devise innovative strategies for deploying and implementing new sustainment policy initiatives. Work on unusually complex problems and provide solutions that are highly creative. Serve as an organizational spokesperson on relevant projects or programs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience supporting weapons systems programs

  • 10+ years of experience working in a DoD acquisition program, Program Executive Office or Service-level program office 

  • Experience developing or applying commercial and Military standards to DoD systems

  • Experience developing and familiarization with sustainment focused documentation and analysis such as Lifecycle Cycle Support Plans, Business Case Analysis, Level of Repair Analysis, Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis

  • Experience with product support and intellectual property considerations during the acquisition lifecycle

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience developing or implementing common data architectures and data models

  • Experience with implementation of DoD acquisition and sustainment policies, guidance, and processes 

  • Experience as an OSD staff action officer, including developing, coordinating, and publishing issuances and department-level policies, coordinating congressional and GAO engagements, and facilitating OSD correspondence and task management 

  • Experience facilitating senior level meetings in-person and in a virtual environment 

  • Experience with workforce development initiatives

  • Knowledge of Foreign Military Sales, Direct Commercial Sales, or Cooperative programs with emphasis on the logistics aspects of those activities

  • Ability to engage with key stakeholders on course and curriculum development 

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
