As a Transition to Sustainment Engineer on our team, you will lead numerous System Engineering and Integration (SE&I) colleagues and support Space System Command to develop and deploy the next generation of Space Based Missile Warning to deliver critical information to our warfighters to quickly win or even prevent future wars. Your client will trust you to develop and execute system military processes and plans to transition systems from development to operations and sustainment. You will work with system testers, operators, and sustainers to develop and help implement transition and sustainment support strategies and participate in transition planning working groups. You will grow your skills by learning new technologies and working with warfighters to ensure space systems meet their needs.

You Have:
15+ years of experience with large-scale space mission and systems engineering and integration on national security space programs
5+ years of experience with program integration and transition planning of DoD programs from acquisition or development to sustainment or operations
Experience in product support and lifecycle sustainment planning in accordance with DoD 5000.01/02
Experience with stakeholder engagement, project management, and communications
Knowledge of system engineering management and processes, including development phasing, lifecycle integration, requirements development, analysis, testing, and integration
Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients, prime support contractors, Federally Funded Research and Developmental Centers (FFRDC), and associate contractor teammates to achieve program goals
Ability to operate independently and execute within intent of government leadership direction ensuring strategic and tactical planning aligns across client and external organizations
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
Nice If You Have:
Experience working with DoD and Space Force system testers, operators, and sustainers
Experience performing systems engineering, integration, and test on space-based remote sensing systems such as FORGE, NGG, and NGP
Experience with JIRA or Confluence and MS Teams to manage and coordinate programmatic compliance documentation
Ability to develop written artifacts supporting Space Operations
TS/SCI clearance
Master’s degree in a STEM field
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
