Accountant, Senior

Key Role: 

Provide timely and accurate financial record keeping and reporting as directed by management. Apply advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction. Mentor and supervise team members. 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years of experience with General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) with DoD Program Executive Office (PEO), Project Manager (O6 PM), or Product Manager (O5 PdM)

  • Experience with creating execution documents, including Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs), Procurement Work Directives (PWDs), or funding reports  

  • Experience with supporting a wide variety of budgetary reports ranging from simple data calls to more complex work products

  • Experience with performing a variety of budgetary functions assisting the organizations budgetary program, policies, and procedures  

  • Experience with verifying that obligations and expenditures occur on a timely basis in accordance with the annual work plan and regulatory controls and are within amounts programmed  

  • Ability to work with Program Analysts to balance budget and all funding requirements 

  • Ability to consolidate the accuracy of budget data estimates by the use of statistical techniques

  • Ability to monitor and track obligations and expenditures for assigned activity accounts on budgetary forms, schedules, and reports

  • Secret clearance 

  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications: 

  • Experience with using accounting software and MS Office applications, including Excel

  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively 

  • Possession of excellent organizational skills

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, for effective financial report writing

  • Office 365 Certification   

  • Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM)

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,400.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
