Configuration Manager, Senior

Key Role:

Provide support to project teams including fielders, logistics and IA/Cyber in configuring and base-lining project items to develop and enhance CM tools. Prepare configuration documentation and maintain Configuration Management (CM) database while also assisting in the management, maintenance and automating of CM tools. Organize and maintain the PM Configuration Control Board and proper version controls of software deliverables. Support PEO Executive CCB Efforts. Review and recommend improvements to existing CM processes and oversee the delivery of software applications in test and deployment environments. Maintain data quality, integrity, and security of CM database. Schedule audits on CM database and analyze configuration issues and propose appropriate resolutions and assist in implementing audit recommendations. Develop security guidelines and policy to avoid unauthorized damage or usage of project items

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Configuration Management (CM)

  • Experience with code management, baseline identification, and preparation and control of documentation for software projects

  • Experience participating in design reviews, product configuration audits (PCAs), and evaluations of hardware and software products to ensure proper identification, control, and status accounting of the system baselines

  • Experience in leading configuration control boards (CCBs)

  • Knowledge of MIL-HDBK-61A Configuration Management Guidance

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Army Tactical Network systems

  • Knowledge of Army organization structure and Unit Task Organization concepts

  • Ability to provide verbal and written reports to staff

  • Ability to manage and input information in CM tools and documentation

  • Ability to conduct quality assurance (QA) on all CM developed and deliverable products

  • Ability to modify, catalog, and distribute detailed technical procedures (DTP) and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP)

  • Ability to assist with the review of product drawings and other technical data submitted in support of defining the configuration baseline for the program

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
