RF Engineer, Mid

The Challenge:

What if you could use your engineering skills to transform the DoD? As an electrical engineer, you understand the power behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) or Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing for Army radio products. We’re looking for an electrical engineer who can use their skills to test and evaluate advanced communications products for the US Army.

Our team supports an Army research client and development mission by performing product, integration, system, or regression-level EMI or EMC testing. That’s why we need you, an electrical engineer with expertise in radio frequency (RF), to help us conduct successful EMI or EMC testing and evaluation efforts. You’ll help to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret developmental EMI or EMC tests for new or modified products or product components. You’ll directly impact the Army’s R&D mission by conducting thorough tests on the customer’s RF equipment and providing detailed test results with the necessary insights and recommendations needed to support the Army customer’s future RF equipment acquisition decisions. We’ll look to you to share your electrical engineering expertise through leadership and mentoring junior staff. This is a chance to use your experience-based knowledge in RF testing and evaluation skills while broadening your skillset into areas like phases of engineering design and software development. Join us and take on exciting challenges in Army R&D as we strive to improve warfighter communications.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience with RF
  • Experience with performing over-the-air (OTA) tests and closed-loop bench tests
  • Experience with writing engineering test documentation and reports, including test plans, procedures, and results
  • Experience with testing antennas and RF equipment
  • Ability to gather and analyze customer requirements and identify potential solutions to satisfy their needs
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with anti-jam antennas
  • Experience with vehicular integration
  • Experience with an anechoic chamber
  • Experience with GPS
  • Knowledge of security requirements for specialized information transfer application

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
